The Swedish Pensions Agency (Pensionsmyndigheten) can answer questions about survivor’s pensions or survivor protection within the national public pension.

Survivor protection
If you have questions about survivor protection or protection against reimbursement liability within occupational pensions, you should contact your occupational pension company. You can find out which company provided the deceased’s occupational pension by checking the specification in their income tax return form from the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket).
Questions about survivor protection before death
If you have any questions about survivor protection within the national public pension or about survivor’s pensions before a death, you should contact the Swedish Pensions Agency.

If you want to find out whether you or your loved ones have survivor protection or protection against reimbursement liability, you can find current occupational pension(s) specified on the income tax return form from the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket).
